W artykule zbadano wpływ wybranych zmiennych, takich jak poziom wydatków rządowych, inflacja, skolaryzacja, bezpośrednie inwestycje zagraniczne, innowacje oraz wolność gospodarcza, na poziom PKB per capita. W tym celu zastosowano regresję liniową, test przyczynowości Grangera oraz uogólnioną metodę momentów. Analizie poddano 59 krajów, które podzielono zgodnie z klasyfikacją PNB na cztery grupy. Badanie potwierdziło postawioną hipotezę, że wybrane zmienne są determinantami wzrostu gospodarczego, co jest zgodne z zaprezentowaną analizą literatury.
